2025 Coed Beach Volleyball League
Get ready for another exciting season of beach volleyball with SASS! Our Coed 4’s league is back and better than ever, with divisions for all skill levels. Gather your team, hit the sand, and enjoy some competitive fun under the sun!
League Details:
- Format: Coed 4’s (Minimum 1 female player on the court at all times)
- Minimum Players: At least 2 players must be present to avoid forfeiting
- Teen Players: Must be pre-approved by SASS staff before playing
- Registration Opens: Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM
- Season Start Date: Week of June 1, 2025
- Season Length: 14 weeks, ending the last week of August
- Game Times: Matches begin at 6:30 PM, with each team playing two games per night against different opponents
- Playoff Week: September 7-11, 2025
- Year-End Tournament: September 12-13, 2025 (Double Elimination Format)
Division Nights:
- Sunday Nights – Intermediate C Division (Transition from Rec to Intermediate) – No Jump Serves
- Monday Nights – Intermediate A Division (Transition from Intermediate to Competitive– SASS Beach Volleyball rules strictly enforced, No Jump Serves)
- Tuesday Nights – Competitive Division – High-intensity beach volleyball action
- Wednesday Nights – Recreational Division (Indoor volleyball rules) – No Jump Serves
- Thursday Nights – Intermediate B Division – SASS Beach Volleyball rules enforced, No Jump Serves
Registration & Fees:
Due to high demand, space is limited, and not all teams are guaranteed to return to their previous night of play. To improve your chances, include alternative night preferences in your registration email.
- Total Cost: $700 per team – includes 14 weeks of league play, playoffs, and the year-end tournament
- League Fee: $500 per team
- Forfeit Fee: $100 per team – Fully refundable if your team never forfeits. For each forfeit, a portion of the fee will be deducted. Teams that complete the season without forfeits will receive a $100 gift card to a local sponsoring establishment. 24-hour notice before game time allows forfeits without penalty.
New for 2025: Volunteer Fee
To strengthen our volleyball community, we are introducing a $100 Volunteer Fee. Teams that complete 14 hours of volunteer work with SASS will be refunded the full amount. Volunteer hours can be split among team members or completed by a designated individual (e.g., a high school student needing volunteer hours). If your team opts not to volunteer, the funds will be donated to local youth volleyball programs.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Setting up and taking down nets and lines at the start/end of the season
- Assisting with the year-end tournament (setup, fencing, advertising, scheduling, score collection)
- Putting out and collecting balls and scoreboards each game night
- Helping with Boston Pizza net setup/takedown
- General court maintenance and cleanup throughout the season

SASS has been hosting leagues and tournaments for 20+ years, running over 100 tournaments and welcoming over 1,000 athletes to our events. This year, we’re excited to host a few smaller tournaments to celebrate our love of volleyball and showcase the incredible courts and beach in Saugeen Shores.
